Faith, Creativity, and Building an Award-Winning Brand

We have some exciting news to share! Islamic Moments has been nominated as a finalist for the 'Creative Entrepreneur of the Year ' award at the British Muslim Awards 2026. It’s an incredible honour but also a moment to reflect on why I started this journey.

This business was never just about creating products. It was and still is about creating something meaningful, something that will bring moments of joy to others and connect hearts. My work has always been shaped by my faith, influencing not only what I design, but the intention behind it. I wanted to build something that celebrates identity, captures everyday beauty, and feels personal to the people who connect with it.

Faith-inspired creativity comes with a different kind of responsibility. It’s not just about what looks good, it’s about what feels sincere. That perspective has guided every decision, helping me stay grounded in purpose rather than trends.

Running a creative design-led business isn’t always easy. There’s a constant balance between creativity and the practical demands of growth. Some days my head is exploding with design ideas while others are focused on inventory, sales, logistics, problem-solving, customer service, the list is endless! Making time for creativity has been one of the most challenging yet important skills I’ve had to learn.

One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been allowing the business to evolve alongside me. As my creativity changes, so does Islamic Moments. I’ve explored more detailed designs, introduced new luxury collections, and created pieces that reflect where I am creatively. Not everything is designed for mass appeal and that’s intentional. Some of the most meaningful work comes from creating without limits.

Looking ahead, my focus isn’t just on growth, but on building something lasting. I want to continue creating with purpose, supported by a team and a community that value creativity in the same way. A space where ideas can develop freely, and where my faith remains at the centre of everything we deliver.

This nomination reinforces something I’ve always believed: that meaningful, faith-led businesses have a real place. Islamic Moments isn’t just a brand, it’s an expression of my faith and creative purpose. That alignment is what makes the work so worthwhile.
